IPOB: Nigerian Soldiers Allegedly Surround Entrance to Nnamdi Kanu’s House

IPOB: Nigerian Soldiers Allegedly Surround Entrance to Nnamdi Kanu’s House

There is an ongoing confrontation between IPOB members and soldiers at the entrance to Nnamdi Kanu’s house in Afaraukwu, Abia State.

Some Nigerian soldiers have allegedly beseiged the Afaraukwu home of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu with tanks as they reportedly tried to gain access to the house. However, some suspected IPOB members have prevented them by stationing themselves at the entrance of Kanu’s house.

According to a live video by Somto Okonkwo, the soldiers came with armoured cars threatening the IPOB members who resisted with bottles. It is not clear what the military intends to do by parading round Kanu’s house, but Okonkwo said the soldiers tried to ambush them.

It would be recalled that similar incident happened a few days ago resulting in the alleged death of three people which the army denied.
